We’re shining a spotlight on some local folks who have given so much to the Boro and those who call it home. We’re excited to tell their stories and give them some much deserved recognition for all they do to make our community better.
First of all, gracing our cover this issue is Dr. Richard Marz. If you are an animal advocate, you are well aware of the contributions that Dr. Marz has made. And he’s also reached well past his own dental practice to help those who need it most. We’re grateful for all he’s done.
Trish Tootle is no stranger to anyone in the Boro — really. There’s no one who doesn’t know Miss Trish. She’s been such a force for good in the community, and we’re all better for it.
Brenda Lee is another one of our featured folks in this issue, and she recently stepped into some very large shoes at Open Hearts Community Mission, taking on a new position. She’s been with the mission since it opened, and it wouldn’t be a stretch to say they couldn’t operate without her.
Last of all, we’re spotlighting Portal Middle Senior High School senior Jenna Goodson, who has decided to use her own misfortunes in life as a platform to bring joy and encouragement to others.
We know you’ll enjoy reading about each of these folks, and we thank them for all they do. You are all a shining light and your good works are something we can all aspire to.
