Welcome to our biggest, meatiest and juiciest issue of the year — the Readers Choice issue. In every issue, we love telling your stories, but in this one, we get to hear what you think. We love that!
We have featured stories this issue on local residents who are moving and shaking in several areas of interest. We have a story on Ressie Fuller, who is well known in our arts community. Our Everyday Hero this issue is Nick Propps, who is a local business owner who is very involved in giving back to the community.
And we have an article on a group of local residents and the Blue Mile project, something that will benefit all residents in Bulloch County. You can read all about how the project came to be, as well as its progress to date.
And of course, we’ve featured two of our Readers Choice winners. We shine the spotlight first on a local teacher, Casey Tatum, who was named Most Outstanding Teacher. There is a new appreciation for teachers, now that parents have had to educate their kids at home. We are thrilled to bring you Casey’s story.
And last, but not least, is our cover story, Hopeulikit BBQ & Market. This family run business is a true partnership between friends who have big plans for a small barbecue joint. Kelly Anderson and Kelly Lee are selling fantastic barbecue, and plan to expand beyond brisket and pulled pork. Read their story inside.
We hope you enjoy the issue — and some great barefoot weather!
