Local artwork from members of the Statesboro Regional Art Association is on display through August in the main gallery of the Averitt Center for the Arts.
The annual Statesboro Regional Art Association Juried Exhibition was held during the summer and drew entries from many local artists who showcased their talents in different techniques and mediums. The event was juried by Jeff Garland, department chair of the Betty Foy Sanders Department of Art at Georgia Southern University.
Tami Lindsay won the Roxie Remley Award for her abstract piece entitled “Big Sky.” Larry Smith won the Best in Show for his detailed landscape “Hearts On A Wire.”
